Single Storey Rear & Garage Extension in Pontefract – Open Plan Kitchen Transformation
This project involved a single storey rear extension combined with a garage extension and conversion in Pontefract, creating one large continuous living space at the back of the home.
Delivered as a design and build project, the drawings and planning were completed by Enhanced Building Plans before construction began.
The main objective was to completely transform the layout of the property by creating a large open plan kitchen with a pantry and utility room, while also extending and converting the existing garage. This additional space allowed the new layout to include a small dining area, snug, and family play space, all connected to the main kitchen area.
Construction began in August and was completed in February, resulting in a spacious modern living area designed for family life and entertaining.

The addition of bifold doors and underfloor heating helps create a bright and comfortable environment, while the pantry and utility room provide practical storage and organisation behind the main kitchen area.
