Project Overview
This project involved the conversion of a detached garage into a working foot clinic in Adwick, Doncaster.
The client wanted to make better use of the unused garage by transforming it into a dedicated treatment space that would allow them to run their business from home.
To achieve this, the garage was fully converted into a functional clinic space while maintaining the appearance of the property and ensuring all necessary services were installed correctly.
Planning permission was obtained for a change of use from garage to clinic, and the project was completed between October and February.

Challenges During the Project
One of the main challenges was installing the required services to the detached garage.
New drainage, water supply, and electrical connections had to be brought to the building. During the drainage installation, it was discovered that the original house drainage had been installed incorrectly, which required rectification before the new system could be completed.
Addressing these issues ensured the clinic space could operate safely and reliably once completed.

From Garage to Clinic

Work began by preparing the existing garage structure and installing the necessary services, including drainage, water supply, and electrical connections. Internal alterations were then carried out to create a practical treatment room suitable for the client to operate their foot clinic from home.
The finished space now provides a clean, professional environment with improved natural light thanks to the addition of patio doors, which also create convenient access for visitors.

Project Management by Enhanced Building Management
This project was fully managed by Enhanced Building Management, with Scott Savage overseeing the entire process from acquisition through to sale.
Our role included:
